The short version
Everything happens on your iPhone. Sessio has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It never sends your photos, your videos or any information about you to us or to anyone else. No data leaves your phone.
Your photos and videos
Sessio asks for access to your Photos library so it can group your photos and videos into sessions by the time they were taken. It reads their dates and identifiers and shows small previews on screen. Previews are held in memory only and are never saved or copied.
Sessio never deletes or changes your photos and videos, and never exports them.
When you give a session a colour, Sessio creates a folder called "Sessio" in Photos, with an album for each colour, and adds that session's photos and videos to the album. Sessio only takes a photo out of an album when you move it in Sessio, and taking it out of an album never deletes it from your library. Sessio also reads its own albums back, so it can follow changes you make to them in Photos. Sessio does not change any album or folder it did not create.
What Sessio stores on your phone
A list of the identifiers of your photos and videos with their dates, the colour you gave each session, and your settings, such as appearance and colour letters. This stays on your device. It is included in your device's own backups, such as iCloud Backup, if you use them. We cannot see those backups.
Deleting Sessio deletes this information. The Sessio folder and albums in Photos stay until you delete them yourself.
When you install Sessio again, or on a new phone, it asks: "Pick up where you left off, or start fresh?" Starting fresh moves the old albums into a folder named after the month and year, such as "Sessio · Oct 2026". Nothing is emptied or deleted.
iCloud Photos
If you use iCloud Photos, the Sessio folder and albums are part of your Photos library and sync with your other devices like any album. That is done by Apple, not by Sessio.
Purchases
Premium is bought through Apple and the App Store, and Apple handles the payment. Sessio never sees your payment details, and neither do we.
Information we receive
If you choose to share app analytics with developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may give us anonymous, combined statistics such as downloads and crash reports. They cannot be used to identify you.
Children
Sessio does not collect information from anyone, including children.
Your choices
You can change or withdraw Photos access at any time in Settings, Privacy & Security, Photos. Sessio keeps working with the photos and videos you allow.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and on our website, with a new date.
